Registry Items

You in our lives is the greatest gift we can imagine. Nontheless, we hear that some people like to give physical gifts for weddings. Who are we to argue with tradition? We have therefore laid out several options for our bridal registry:

Amazing! It looks as though our friends basically cleaned out our registry. Thank you SO much! Wow! If perchance you are coming to this page because you would like to get us a gift (which again, we would like to stress, is not necessary), but if you are so determined, we met and fell in love with a set of casual china that we would really like to get. It is the Jardin Imaginaire design by the china manufacturer Gien. We are looking to register for it somewhere formally, but have had some trouble arranging that. In any case, we don't have any of the pieces now, but will post how many of what we would hope to have as soon as we get that information form a store.

1. Jardin Imaginaire by Gien We just met and fell in love with a design of china, Jardin Imaginaire by Gien . We don't have any pieces in this set yet, but are hoping over the years to put together a set of 12 dinner, dessert, and tea/coffee pieces in this design. We plan to register with a store for this, but have had a little bit of trouble doing it. Will post details of a particular store as soon as we do. The site linked to here seems to have the best prices.

2. $: We would also gratefully accept money or bonds as we hear that that can be useful to young married couples as well. We plan to invest any cash we might receive in a "house fund." We plan to donate 10% of $ we receive to our favorite charities.

3. Fair trade items: We are delighted that Brian's technical skill has afforded us the ability to register for some breath-takingly beautiful handmade items through "fair trade" websites. Run by community development organizations, Peacecorps volunteers, and the like, these websites allow artisans and craftsmen from some of the poorest parts of the world to market their goods directly to the public and sell them at fair market value.

If you buy one of these items, please click on the "CLAIM" link next to it first. That will cross it off our list so that we don't end up with five of the same item.
